All In On You! Grief Retreat

Aug 9, 2024

I was on an Instagram Live earlier this week with my friend Kera Sanchez, the editor-in-chief of Get Griefy Magazine, a beautiful publication that explores death and loss through the lens of personal and professional experience with grief; a heartfelt magazine for those living with loss and actually living! I have been honored to contribute articles to issues two and three of Get Griefy alongside my fellow grievers and professionals who also practice grief work.

In our IG Live Kera and I recalled memories about my loved ones who have passed as she asked me a few questions from her journal Legacy Letters: Leaving Love for Those Who Remain. One question was: What phrase did your loved one say that will always remind you of them? I instantly thought of my aunt Louise who passed from cardiac arrest due to chronic alcohol abuse. She always said, “Child, you need to stop and smell the roses!” Aunt Louise was always encouraging me to slow down and enjoy life—to take care of myself. I explained to Kera that roses are spiritually symbolic of my pain, and my joy, and that whenever I see a rose I think of my aunt.

As I sat down at my computer to write this blog a few days after our conversation, I received a message from Kera. While shopping in her local supermarket, she stumbled across a huge display of roses and large rose helium balloons, and she sent me a photo of it. It’s not Valentine’s Day or Mother’s Day…a giant display of roses in July is out of the ordinary (at least I think so). Kera said she hoped her message meant something to me. It absolutely does.

Ten minutes before I received her message I was in my kitchen acknowledging pain in my jaw from grinding my teeth in my sleep. I told myself to slow down and enjoy the rest of summer with my children. I believe Kera’s message to me was my aunt still telling me to stop and smell the roses! Perhaps you need to slow down and stop and smell the roses too. If so, I have just the place for you to do that.

Please join me, Certified Intuitive Grief Coach, award-winning author, and podcaster, and my friend Amber LaRusso, RYT 500 Certified Yoga Instructor and Certified Vibrational Sound Therapy Practitioner at the All In On You! Mountain Retreat at Mt. Princeton Hot Springs Resort in Nathrop, Colorado, September 27-29, 2024. (Near Buena Vista)

Enjoy an uplifting weekend of healing, community, and empowerment in a safe space with other women who have suffered loss and are seeking a path forward. Amber and I have created a 3-day program packed with women’s circles, yoga, meditation, energy healing, sound bath therapy, embodiment practices, and a workshop focused on turning your pain into power! You will leave feeling rejuvenated and ready for what’s next in your life.

There will be plenty of time to relax in the hot springs, take a hike, or sleep. You do not have to attend all sessions. This is your weekend, and you are free to do whatever you want with it. Creekside suites with a patio or balcony each sleep three women in their own bed. (Lodging is included in the price.) You will also receive a welcome gift upon arrival, including my book, Trust Yourself to Be All In. Grab a friend (or two and request to be in the same room), escape the demands of everyday life, and join us on a transformative journey to an empowered life after loss!

We intentionally chose this weekend so you can enjoy the fall foliage on a beautiful drive into the Rocky Mountains at peak season.

A deposit of $249 holds your spot. The rest is due by 9/15 or you can pay in full ($499) upon booking. This event will sell out, so if you think this retreat is for you, please reach out for more information today! Just fill out the form on my website (comment IMALLIN) and I will send the inquiry form as well as answer any questions you may have. You can also email me directly with questions at [email protected].

Maybe you’ll even see some roses while you’re there!
