The mission of the Grief Networking Alliance Western Slope Colorado is to create a collaborative platform for professionals to connect, share expertise, and collectively provide essential support to each other and the broader community, ultimately fostering a more compassionate and comprehensive approach to grief and end-of-life care.
Goals for GNA Western Slope:
Goal 1: Enhance Community Engagement and Resource Accessibility
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary professionals to establish a comprehensive continuum of support services.
Goal 2: Provide Diverse and Inclusive Support Services through Education and Resource Sharing
• Expand knowledge of both local and national resources through educational presentations and opportunities for sharing resources with a variety of agencies from Western Colorado.
Goal 3: Cultivate Sustained Resilience and Healing within the Professional Community Engaged in End-of-Life and Grief Care
• Enhance community support and well-being among professionals, mitigating burnout and promoting long-term sustainability in the field.
Involvement with GNA Western Slope:
Steering Committee (5-6 people from different agencies)- Meets twice a year to schedule out quarterly meetings and topics.
Group Member Role- Engage in networking opportunities and resource sharing.
Membership Details:
You become a member by joining our listserv and member portal. There is no cost to attend GNA-NM general meetings, and currently there are no membership fees. Ther is no meeting attendance requirement. There will be a sign-in sheet at each meeting, and this is for the purpose of meeting minutes and sharing of information. It is the preference of the Steering Committee that folks commit to at least one meeting per calendar year to both maintain membership and a sense of community within the group.
