About the Presenter:

Jill Johnson-Young, LCSW is a grief expert, therapist, author- and a double widow who married the funeral director/embalmer/DMORT member who cared for her first two spouses. She lives in the world of grieving clients and communities she touches around the world, and in the world of those in funeral service. She was warmly received by the California Funeral Directors Association where she spoke on coping with challenging families, and by the Orange Belt Funeral Directors Association, where she is a member. Jill has helped members of the profession by hearing them and supporting them, and she has seen what this last period has been like for those trying to serve their families despite having no sleep and rules that prevented them from being who they truly are with families. She loves conversation more than speaking at her audience- that’s no fun for anyone. Instead, she will be speaking with you about what compassion fatigue does, and how we can move through it, take better care of ourselves and each other, and find your way back to the profession you love.
