Healing Stories Circle: In Our Work and In Our Lives

A Program for Hospice and End-Of-Life Caregivers

Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 9:30am-11am

In our lifetimes there has not been a time of collective sustained stress for our healthcare workers.  Story telling is a healing art that can offer a release of responsibility, guilt and grief bringing us together to offer hope and comfort for the future.  This virtual program is a gift for you,  offering those working in hospice and end-of-life care an opportunity to hear and share stories from around the world and within ourselves.  Come with a listening heart and immerse in the gift and light of story.

Participants will:

  • Hear stories of healing told by Cherie Karo Schwartz
  • Develop tools for personal healing that can be shared with patients and families
  • Share stories that have offered profound and redemptive moments

About the facilitators:

Cherie Karo Schwartz is a storyteller, author and educator who has shared spirt-filled, engaging stories, performances and workshops around the country and abroad for 48 years.  She has also shared performances, storytelling training and workshops with celebrants, chaplains and with the HeartLight Grief Center.  Cherie knows and believes that story is at the heart of our human experience.

Jenn Flaum, LCSW, MBA: Jenn has worked in hospice and end-of-life care for the last ten years.  She has been a part of influencing stories at the bedside and has listening to stories of families and caregivers.  Jenn is passionate about offering opportunity and space for hospice and end-of-life care providers to process their experiences and reflect on the transformative work they do.
